Ultrasonic MGPS

Echo Tech provides commercial Ultrasonic MGPS solutions.  Powerful ultrasonic technology prevents biofouling, reduces bunker costs, and decreases maintenance.  Enjoy extended service intervals, improved vessel performance, and a cleaner, more efficient operation.  Contact Echo Tech for proven, ultrasonic MGPS solutions.

How Ultrasonic MGPS Works

Biofouling is the accumulation of plants, algae, barnacles, and other microorganisms on underwater surfaces.  This growth causes significant problems for all maritime assets.

Ultrasonic Waves

High frequency sound waves are emitted from transducers to prevent the attachment and growth of marine organisms.

Pressure Differential

The ultrasonic waves create a layer of microscopic pressure differentials which is totally inhospitable to marine organisms.

No Disturbance

The system operates quietly, ensuring a peaceful and non-disruptive environment for crew.

Environmental Impact

Ultrasonic MGPS offers a significant environmental advantage over traditional solutions.  By significantly decreasing hydrodynamic drag, ultrasonic MGPS decreases bunker costs and therefore emissions, improving safety and performance along the way.

Ultrasonic MGPS technology increases the life of marine coatings tremendously by reducing the amount of physical cleaning and scraping needed.  This significantly reduces the amount of microplastics released into our water ways each year.  Microplastic pollution is the single greatest contributor to the amount of plastic found in our oceans today.
